英文的读后感篇4

recently, i have reading the book "jane eyre”。 although i forgot some details in the book, jane gave me deeply impression, i admire her very much. after that the teacher also told us to put the play in to a movie, and then we all can touch each hero’s soul in the book. the play it mainly tell us how jane is growing up when suffering from great difficulties and painless. whats more, it is impressed me that she still love her master even if he is blind at last due to rescue his mad wife.

and i like the classic lines what jane said to mr. rochester :"do you think i can stay to become nothing to you? do you think i am an automaton?--a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong!--i have as much soul as you,--and full as much heart! and if god had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, i should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you.

i am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh;--it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at gods feet, equal,--as we are!" its so beautiful, jane is a girl who will never lose confidence in life and always sensible when handling with some motional problems. jane was huge in my heart. she can control her life and fate. she knew how to continue her life and she got it!

maybe after what she told me i have known that what love is and how to love and to be loved! the book is a book worth of reading, so all in all let’s enjoy it!

英文的读后感篇5

despite ive not in my childhood yet, i still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. this summer ive review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. its the world-famous fairy-tale by the french author, antoine de st-exupery, the le petit prince.

as many other fairy-tales, the outline of the le petit prince is not very complex. “i”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the sahara. in this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the le petit prince, a little boy from another planet, the asteroid b612. the le petit prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. in that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

on his all-alone journey, the le petit prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the sahara, on the earth.

traveling on the earth, the le petit prince, who sees a garden of five-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before.

at that time a fox appears. the fox, who tell the le petit prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. at the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. from that the le petit prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose.

at the anniversary day of his descent of the earth, rejecting the pilots advice, he goes back to his own planet by bite of a snake. “its too far. i can not carry this body with me. its too heavy.” he said. he tells his friend, the pilot, he must be responsible for his rose, so he has to go back. at the end the author doesnt tell us the ending directly. maybe its more significant for us to imagine, and for more, think over.

one of the important characters is the rose. growing on the planet, she is very beautiful, but her coquetry and vanity suffer the le petit prince a lot. in spite of they love each other, he soon becomes unhappy. on the time of his departure, he just knows she certainly loves him.

the character of the le petit prince actually represents the children, and their native thoughts and deeds. on the contrary, the inhabitants on the other planets, such as the king, the businessman and the conceited man, they also reflect the defects in the grown-ups world. the real theme of this fairy-tale with a little sadness, i guess, is the consequence of pure love and friendship in our lives, but not others “matters of consequence” of the grown-ups.

unbelievable, this little book moved me a lot. i seldom think about the true meaning of love and life before. well, now i can say, with my short sixteen-years life experience, its like the stars in the sky that lit my heart. the le petit prince is not only an ordinary fairy-tale for children, but also for grown-ups, and our teenagers. nevertheless, when i read this book, i feel a little sad – about ourselves, whom are losing more and more innocence.

英文的读后感篇6

the book was written by emily bronte, it published in 1847.but at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. i found this in our school library, i chose this book because the titleattracted me. the book is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between catherine and heathcliff, while theledramatic second half features the developing love between young catherine and hareton. in contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to wuthering heights and thrushcrogrange. in the story, the two houses, wuthering heights and thrushcrogrange, represent opposing worlds and values.

i spent twenty days reading this book. after reading this book, i felt for heathcliff at first. heathcliff begins his life as a homeleorphan on the streets of liverpool, and then he tyrannized by hindley earnshaw. but he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to wuthering heights with money and the trappings of agentleman. his malevolence proves so great and long-lasting. as he himself points out, his abuse of isabella-his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. she loves heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. however, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially areawakened during her first stay at the lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry edgar. catherine is free-spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, sheis given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who loveher. the location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. she is buried in a corner of the kirkyard. in contrast to catherine, isabella linton-catherine’s sister-in-law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with heathcliff. he never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the linton family.

just as isabella linton serves as catherine’s foil, edgar linton serves as heathcliff’s. edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. he is almost the ideal gentleman. however, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves uselein edgar’s clashes with his foil. he sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify thesituation. heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter.

the whole story make people’s mood heavy. fortunately, the end is happy.

the author emily bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. she was born in 1818, two years after charlotte-the author of jane eyre and a year and a half before her sister anne, who also became an author. her father worked as a church rector, and her aunt, who raised the bronte children after their mother died, was deeply religious. emily bronte did not take to her aunt’s christian fervor, thecharacter of joseph, a caricature of an evangelical, may have been inspired by her aunt’s religiosity. the brontes lived in haworth, a yorkshire village in the midst of the moors. these wild, desolate expanses-later the setting of wuthering heights-made up the brontes daily environment, and emily lived among them her entire life. she died in 1848, at the age of thirty.

英文的读后感篇7

read again the american writer mitchell's "gone with the wind", of which the heroine is also one of my favorite characters, her beautiful, strong and optimistic, tenacious struggle for life, never give in. to the dedication of love, in his love, love and marriage can be separated, or the separation of spirit and body, put aside everything to love ashley, fight for their own happiness, not to etiquette and morality on their own love, her love is always free.

in her love in the world there is nothing as of late, when she lose ashley, thoroughly lost daughter, husband scottberrie has left her, she didn't feel true love is, so despite the psychic trauma and regret, believe that you will be able to save her husband's heart. i like her catchphrase: "whatever it is, tomorrow will be another day." her heart has been shining in the chaos!

mitchell, cut by its excellent artistic attainments, portrayed the protagonist and the characters in the book have obvious personality, several leading role in personality, morality and so on various aspects both comparative and intense, and interdependent, raises a series of conflicts, produced many bewildering suspense, make the story a ring clasp, ups and downs. in the time of reading the works, my temperament has also been accompanied by the plot, and i have seen a lot of tears. the works leave me with a powerful shock and a lifetime of touching.
