虹的英语读后感篇1

do you know harry potter? it’s one of my favourite sparetime readings and it’s written by j. k. rowling. she had the idea about harry potter when she was on train, “harry just walked into my head.” she said later. she started writing the first edition of harry potter the next day.

harry potter is a magical school student who wears glasses and has no parents, now he is 16 years old. he is very brave and known by everyone because he is the only person who will not die by devil. at school, he has two good friends, they are rone and henry.

when read the book my first time, i feel very exciting and interesting. so i read it again and again, each time i have different feelings, sometimes i even feel as if i’m one of potter’s partners. now there are five edition of harry potter published and they are very popular with young students. books about harry potter have sold millions of copies all over the world. do you like harry potter? if you haven’t rea

d the book yet, read it now and you’ll find a wonderful world.

i have got a lot of interesting scientific knowledge from the books of national geographic reading expeditions, some of which are about life, physics. i really can’t help losing myself in the colorful pictures and clear words in the books. after reading the books, i have been considering a question: what if we lived without science? great changes have taken place in the world with the help of science. in the past, life was nasty, brutish and short. it is hard to imagine how our forefathers could do without so many conveniences that modern science brings about. back then, only a small group of people enjoyed the very few forts. but the majority of people didn’t even have sufficient food, let along their privilege to be educated. anyway, it is science that changes the world and makes people’s life better and better, although it also leads to some bad aspects at the same time.

from the discovery of the gravity to the first step on the moon, we human beings have experienced a long process of developing science. and now, this process is still continuing much faster. new organisms are already being engineered, and new genetically modified crops promise benefits from higher yields and less use of harmful chemicals and so on. a lot of examples are showing this point. in the future, changes are likely to be even much greater as science reaches out to shape life itself. maybe one day, the possibility that life existed on mars billions of years ago will be potentially one of the greatest discoveries of our time. it is the force of the petition, we human beings’ inquiring mind and initiative that bring about the non-stopped development of science. therefore, it is difficult and impossible to prevent science from changing the world and our life as well.

at present, we are in two minds about science. on the one hand, we are enjoying the sweet life as a result of the evelopment of science, and expect it to continue. and we are showing our interests into some scientific expeditions, such as the astronomy, the alien civilization, etc. on the other hand, we are distrustful of it, due to the lack of understanding of science. some people thus far are still very superstitious, and they would even believe in superstitions rather than believe in science.

stephen hawking, one of the most remarkable scientists in the world, once said, “in a democratic society, the public needs to have a basic understanding of the science, so that it can make informed decisions and not leave them in the hands of experts.” this has reminded me of professor alan g. macdiarmid from america, the person who got the nobel prize for chemistry in the year of xx. in his lecture at peking university this year, he put forward that science is people. he also expounded the importance of the basic science for the public. evidently, every one of us does need science, or we can’t live without it.

now that everyone needs science, why not take advantage of some means to give the public the right basic scientific knowledge? so when they face the problems such as acid rain, the greenhouse effect, nuclear weapons, environment destruction and some other problems, they can also make informed decisions on these subjects, just as what hawking said. one aspect relies on what is taught in schools. but science is often taught in an uninteresting way and most students just learn it by rote to pass examinations. however, the final goal of learning science is not to pass examinations or to get a higher score; instead, we should try to make full use of it to change our world and life. while learning, we should try to ask more questions and we should have the courage of suspecting the knowledge in the books, as some of the scientific conclusions are likely to be corrected in the future. who knows. so not only must we change our attitude towards science, but also the way of teaching and learning science.

in addition, science is always changing at a fast rate, and who we learn at school isn’t that sufficient to last a lifetime. so the mass media including tv, radio, newspaper, magazine and publishing pany will play an important role in reporting the latest science in time. moreover, the mass media can also popularize basic science to the public, because only in this way will more people realize what on earth science is.

“scientists and engineers tend to express their ideas in the form of equations because they need to know the precise values of quantities. but for the rest of us, a qualitative grasp of scientific concepts is sufficient, and this can be conveyed by words and diagrams, without the use of equations”, said stephen hawking.

i agree with him very much, and, i’m fond of the wonderful words above, from stephen hawking.

for the development of science, are you ready?

during national day holiday, i read "moby dick", the author of this book is the united states · herman melville.

this book is about the hero to marie employed by dquo ” colonial struggle; sea whale hunting. captain yakha was a cunning old mariner, planning to · moby dick, a white whale who had destroyed one of his last legs, and dick's revenge. the officer tried to persuade ahab starbuck give up revenge, but the crazy old man obeyed him stress. later, they found the white whale, ahab in combat for three days and after the whale anger, sank “ colonial struggle, ” all the people only to be rescued marie.

i like the characters in this book very much. the hero, marie, sometimes appears timid and weak, but when he is in trouble, he will think of his dream and try his best to overcome the difficulties. he was friendly and helpful, and all the sailors liked him very much. and to marie's friend, he is an indian, queequeg, weird names. although it looks very ugly, looks very scary, but he is kind-hearted, disaster comes from “ see god ” advice, and rescue you.

i also like the plot of the story. it's thrilling and exciting. once, while killing beluga whales. a harpoon hand was the harpoon rope around the neck, was dragged into the whale sea, seeing he was not saved, we have scared kneel on the ground, and queequeg did not hesitate to jump into the sea, risked his life to rescue the harpooners. his amazing courage made everyone like him.

from this book, i realize the hard work of sailing, the bravery and wit of the sailors and the gaff at that time.

i will introduce this book to you, and i hope you will read it.

i first read it in a summer. i did not finish it at a single sitting. however, the moment i finished it, near midnight in a sweltering august day, with my body poured with sweat, held my breath to turn the last page over, shut the book and heaved a sigh of relief, i just could not express how i felt. all were over: trouble was over; lives were over; hopes were over. i was shocked how such a small book could contain such a complicated story. never were wars, diseases and starvation ever nakedly exposed to me like this. the turns in plots were surprising but natural.

it was a tragedy: just as its name suggested, everything was gone with the wind, including families’ touch, friends’ support, sweethearts’ gaze and youth with vigour. the story reminds us of valuing all we were possessing. a life lasts for a short time and anything in it lasts shorter. we always lose something unconsciously and then feel regretful when we need them later.

characters in the story were so vivid as if they had been going to jump out of the story, as if they had been existed in the real life at first.

“land is the only thing in the world that amounts to anything, for ‘this the only thing in this world that lasts, and don’t you be forgetting it’ this the only thing worth working for, worth fighting for--worth dying for.” said gerald, an irish man who loved his soil more than his own life, let us know that life can be born out of land.

“but scarlett, did it ever occur to you that even the most deathless love could wear out? mine wore out, against ashley wilkes and your insane obstinacy that makes you hold on like a bulldog to anything you think about.”

“scarlett, i was never one to patient pick up broken fragment glue them together and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. what is broken is broken--and i’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as i lived.” said rett butler, a man who love scalett as much as a man can love a woman. loving her for years before he finally got her, he loved her crazily but did not let her know it for fear of being hurt. but at last he still could not escape from hurts. “my dear, i don’t give a damn.” look, he did not care about it at all. he was a man who disguised himself so much.

“i mustn’t bawl; i mustn’t beg. i mustn’t do anything risk his contempt. he must respect me even--even if he doesn’t love me.”

“i’ll think of it all tomorrow, at tara. i can stand it then. tomorrow, i’ll think some way to get him back. after all, tomorrow is another day.”

said scalett o’hara, the most wonderful woman i’ve ever seen. she was hard and greedy and unscrupulous, a brave, frightened, bull-headed child. though she only thought about how to attract man’s attention and did not do anything useful before the war, she did surprise me when i read about her doings after the war. at that time, her tara was just reduced to ashes. everyone sketched out their hands and asked her for food. she bravely faced the reality and rebuilt tara with her own hands. what a tough woman, i thought. though those she loved were all gone, she was still full of hope. when rett didn’t love her anymore and wanted to leave her, she said “i mustn’t bawl… even if he doesn’t love me.” a woman’s dignity could be seen from what she have said and done. that’s why i appreciate her.

this novel gave me too much to think about and i can not fully express myself in english. it is true that reading an origin is more vivid than the translated ones. however, my english level limits me to understand the origin well without the translated. but i will work hard in order to understand better.

after reading the text "mountain rain", i almost left a deep impression. i can almost imagine the situation before, during and after the rain.

the author releases his mood and writes it in this text. the author compares the floating rain silk to a pair of small hands. it compares everything in the mountain to a wonderful key. it seems that a pair of small hands are playing one after another elegant song. at this moment, i realize that the author uses this writing method to be very beautiful, which is really beautiful and beautiful, and strange, mountain rain is also a palette, including dark green, green, pale green, golden yellow, and fire like red. after the rain, it is more beautiful. if you close your eyes, you can feel the beauty in the text.

from the text before, to the end of the text, while reading the text, listening to music, gently close your eyes, you can realize the unique beauty of nature!

虹的英语读后感篇5

the tragedy of hamlet, prince of denmark, or more simply hamlet, is a tragedy by william shakespeare, believed to have been written between 1599 and 1601. the play, set in denmark, recounts how prince hamlet exacts revenge on his uncle claudius, who has murdered hamlet's father, the king, and then taken the throne and married gertrude, hamlet's mother. the play vividly charts the course of real and feigned madness—from overwhelming grief to seething rage—and explores themes of treachery, revenge, in-ce-st, and moral corruption.

despite much literary detective work, the exact year of writing remains in dispute. three different early versions of the play have survived: these are known as the first quarto (q1), the second quarto (q2) and the first folio (f1). each has lines, and even scenes, that are missing from the others. shakespeare probably based hamlet on the legend of amleth, preserved by 13th-century chronicler saxo grammaticus in his gesta danorum and subsequently retold by 16th-century scholar franois de belleforest, and a supposedly lost elizabethan play known today as the ur-hamlet.

given the play's dramatic structure and depth of characterization, hamlet can be analyzed, interpreted and argued about from many perspectives. for example, scholars have debated for centuries about hamlet's hesitation in killing his uncle. some see it as a plot device to prolong the action, and others see it as the result of pressure exerted by the complex philosophical and ethical issues that surround cold-blooded murder, calculated revenge and thwarted desire. more recently, psychoanalytic critics have examined hamlet's unconscious desires, and feminist critics have re-evaluated and rehabilitated the often maligned characters of ophelia and gertrude.

hamlet is shakespeare's longest play and among the most powerful and influential tragedies in the english language. it provides a storyline capable of "seemingly endleretelling and adaptation by others". during shakespeare's lifetime, the play was one of his most popular works, and it still ranks high among his most-performed, topping, for example, the royal shakespeare company's list since 1879. it has inspired writers from goethe and dickens to joyce and murdoch and has been described as "the world's most filmed story after cinderella". the title role was almost certainly created for richard burbage, the leading tragedian of shakespeare's time. in the four hundred years since, it has been played by highly acclaimed actors, and sometimes actresses, of each successive age.

" hamlet " of shakespear is a classical representative work. this book certainly does not have the big difference in the superficial plot with the historical fable, spoke or the danish prince the story which revenged for the father, in which fills the rank smell of blood violence and dies.just like the dramatis personae horatio said: " you may hear to to rape massacre, the unusual repair behavior, the dark center decision, accidental slaughter, borrows the hand murder , as well as falls into suicide result." windingly elects the plot, tightly centers on the revenge to launch. hamlet wittenberg hurries back the home in a hurry from germany, is attends his father's funeral, enables him to accept, he not catches up with father's funeral, actually witnessed the mother and the uncle claudius' wedding ceremony, this had caused hamm the wright suspicion at the heart, added night above meets in the royal palace castle with father's ghost, the ghost sorrow sued, this pile atrocity was uncle hamlet the behavior, and wanted him to revenge for the father.to this, he started the difficult revenge course, launched the life and death contest with claudius. finally, sent out sword the revenge to claudius.

hamlet is a man with contradictory,he had many chances to kill claudius, but he hesitated, which reflects the religious thought poisons.

虹的英语读后感篇6

before i read this book, i had watched a cartoon movie made by japan. so i have a strong interest on it. it all begins in the dead of winter; the christmas season. the coldest one of all, were the war has made fuel for heating very scarce. while her husband is off at war, marmee is left alone to raise their four daughters: jo, meg, beth, and amy. on christmas eve, marmee has just arrived home from passing out food to the less fortunate with a letter from her husband, the girls father.

the all gather together around the fire to read the letter. afterwards, the girls are teary eyed. marmee kisses them and they are off to bed. jo is longing to become a writer. so, every night she stays up late writing the script for soap operas. as morning comes she is the last one awake.

the table is set, and food prepared for their christmas feast. as dusk falls, the girls are all up in the attic acting out jos play, which she reads from the local (fake) newspaper. as they are performing, their rich, next-door neighbors grandson watches from the window. the 2 oldest girls: jo and meg, get ready to attend the christmas ball. while jo is curling megs hair, there is a strange smell to the air.

amy screams, megs hair is being singed. they continue digging through the old clothes bin for a pair of white gloves. one of the prominent themes in little women is the coming of age or maturation of the girls. during the course of the novel we see them grow in many ways -- physically, intellectually, and especially emotionally.

one question which readers must ask themselves is whether the views the characters have on the coming of age process are shared by alcott. if they arent, what are alcotts views and how do they differ from those of the women in her story?

it is interesting to examine the last half of chapter 20, "confidential." jo addresses the maturation issue as she speaks with marmee of the situation between meg and mr. brooke.

the possible love between these two represents one of the very important aspects in coming of age for a teenage girl. jo treats this natural process as if it were some sort of disease, however. jo cannot understand why meg would want to stop behaving "like a sensible creature" (p.202), and refers to love as "such nonsense." this book tell me how to deal with the family affairs. we should know the love between the members.

虹的英语读后感篇8

the "beast" is a bastion of hell, a warrior, a magician and a king. but can he be a lover, too? only "beauty" can determine the truth, for her naiveté will lead her to find the beast's inner soul. her innocence and purity of heart may require her to trespass in hades, but she will return unscathed leading the beast by his fingertips and his heart-strings to the land of the living. beauty learns that the ultimate sacrifice will provide a most memorable reward. for beauty's sense of truth and honor prevails and she opens her heart to the beast's ravaged, but passionate soul.

this romantic fairy tale lends itself well to the genre of romance. a story of true opposites, beauty is all that is good and pure, while the beast is untamed, wild and uninhibited. beauty teaches the beast to trust his own innocence and goodness, while the beast teaches beauty about the world…and love. you will find some of the books on this list feature a reversal of the story, where the heroine is "the beast;" but in all the books, there is one character living in darkness, looking for the purity of light that only love can bestow.

what's the appeal?

the "beast" is an awfully sexy hero! had french fairyteller charles perrault only suspected that he would be opening the floodgate of feminine fantasy upon penning this famous story, he might have had second thoughts. for, really, what common man can compete with the beast?

not exactly a feminist treatise, the story features beauty, the archetypal virgin, who is willing to sacrifice herself for her family. loved by all, she is so pure that when faced with the worst monster known to mankind she is able to see far beyond the surface and recognize "the beast" to be as pure and good as she is. her love and faith transforms him from monster into man, and literally leads him from the land of the dead into the land of the living.

the beast, a blending of all male archetypes, appeals universally to women in all cultures and societies. he is more than a man. (and has an animal-like virility that must be tamed!) you've heard about "taming the wild beast;" well, this is where the term best applies. in beauty and the beast tales, the heroine is faced with a tremendous challenge, but in turn, is given the ultimate reward sexually.

but the sexual reward is only part of the heroine's bounty. for really, the beast's greatest attraction to the heroine is his retreat from society–hidden in his lair, he has been psychologically wounded and needs to be restored to manhood. beauty must strive to win his trust and love with all her feminine charms. so what starts as the ultimate act of sacrifice for beauty becomes a reaffirmation of her own best gifts.

the true magic of the story revolves around the fusion of beauty's innocence with the beast's unequivocal love. for it isn't until the end of the story that beauty realizes that she loves the beast in his own right, not simply out of goodness!
